WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The Information Day is open to and aimed at all EU stakeholders, in particular, those interested in consumer and customer communication, chemicals safety, consumer products and sustainability matters. The Information Day will be of particular interest to MEPs and their assistants, European Commission Officials, NGOs, Trade Bodies, Permanent Representatives, Academia, Scientists, and the Media.
OBJECTIVES AND MAIN TOPICS
The 4th A.I.S.E. Information Day will take place on the afternoon of 28 November.
The theme of the event is:
“Safe and sustainable use of detergents and cleaning products:
working together for a relevant information scheme.”
.

At this Information Day, our industry will present some of the ways in which it is addressing consumer demands with regards to relaying broader information on products, and tips on how to use products in a safe and sustainable manner. Climate change has become an  important global issue and it is therefore up to each individual and/or entity to play its role in addressing this. Over the last decade our industry has been taking steps to do exactly that.

This  event will feature the A.I.S.E. and Cefic (the European Chemicals Council) launch of a new website aimed at conveying information to consumers on how to ensure the effective use of our products through their sustainable consumption and safe application. Furthermore, following a stakeholder consultation exercise organised by A.I.S.E. across several member states, we will be providing feedback on what stakeholders’ perceptions are of European consumers’ expectations in the domain of consumer communication. The Conference will include speakers from the European Commission, the European Parliament, Member States, Consumer Associations, Academia and Industry.

EXHIBITION
An interactive exhibition will showcase selected initiatives and key topics of the soaps, detergents and maintenance products industry across Europe. These include a demonstration of the new A.I.S.E./Cefic consumer website, the Charter for Sustainable Cleaning, Laundry Sustainability Project, and the Save Energy and Water Project.

A.I.S.E., the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products, is the official representative body of this industry in Europe. Its membership totals 35 National Associations in 34 countries, covering about 900 companies, ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to multinationals, active in both the consumer goods and/or the industrial and institutional (I&I) markets.
